Louis Vuitton unveiled its Spring–Summer 2026 collection at the majestic Musée du Louvre, in the former summer apartments of Anne of Austria, Queen of France. To the soundtrack of Tanguy Destable and Cate Blanchett’s voice reciting This Must Be the Place by David Byrne, the show revealed Nicolas Ghesquière’s poetic and introspective vision.
The idea of “refuge” guided the collection, expressed through light fabrics and tactile textures, such as delicate knits, washed silks, translucent cottons and leathers treated with artisanal precision. The contrast between the Louvre’s historic grandeur and the softness of the garments created an atmosphere of contemplation and elegance.
The silhouettes, relaxed yet refined, appeared in fluid dresses, structured coats and neutral shorts, in a palette of beige, ivory, lavender and moss green, with subtle metallic accents. Sculptural accessories, including padded bags, asymmetrical sandals and translucent resin necklaces, completed the narrative of sophisticated comfort and contemporary freedom, reaffirming the technical mastery of the maison.
