Baobab Collection unveils the Sacred Trees collection, now transformed into a permanent line of the brand. More than candles and diffusers, these pieces unite design, fragrance and environmental awareness, becoming symbols of elegance and responsibility.
The inspiration of the baobab
The starting point of this collection is the baobab, Africa’s legendary tree, considered sacred and linked to the history of humanity. Known as the “tree of life”, the baobab stores water in its trunk, blossoms in the rainy season and offers fruit rich in vitamin C. Its strength, longevity and spiritual connection inspired Baobab Collection to create pieces that are true objects of contemplation.
Each candle or diffuser is decorated with patterns designed by the artists of Uniwax, in Abidjan, masters of the art of African fabric printing. Thanks to the sublimation technique, applied to the glass, the designs retain transparency and come to life when the flame is lit, revealing unique reflections.
Fragrances with identity
The Sacred Trees collection is composed of three exclusive fragrances, evoking different regions of Côte d’Ivoire, where the brand supports the Cœur Vert Foundation.
Mankono combines warm notes of cinnamon, almond and cedar. An enveloping, spicy creation that conveys comfort and a welcoming charm.
Touba surprises with the citrus freshness of verbena and lavender, balanced by the elegance of cedar. A luminous fragrance that evokes the African savannah during the rainy season.
Bounkani reveals a green and vibrant side, with hazelnut leaf, fig and sandalwood. A sophisticated fragrance, combining natural intensity with woody sensuality.
Design with an African soul
Beyond the fragrances, the collection’s design makes an aesthetic statement. The glass, produced in Italy, is decorated with natural pigments that, once fused, create deep colours such as browns with saffron reflections, intense greens or contrasts in grey and yellow. The result is pieces that blend contemporaneity and cultural heritage, transforming each candle and diffuser into an artistic object.
Responsibility and impact
With every purchase of a Sacred Trees candle or diffuser, part of the proceeds is donated to the Cœur Vert Foundation, an organisation recognised by the United Nations and supported by the government of Côte d’Ivoire. In recent years, this partnership has already enabled the planting of more than 30,000 trees, including 20,000 baobabs, as part of the international Great Green Wall of Africa project.
More than reforestation, the supported programmes include the creation of community gardens, and the Baobab Collection Gardens promote the economic independence of women in rural areas. In this way, the brand combines luxury and social awareness, forging a link between the sophisticated interiors of its clients and the future of African communities.
A permanent collection
The success of previous editions led Baobab Collection to make Sacred Trees part of its permanent collection. A decision that confirms the symbolic value of these pieces: not only decorative objects, but also testimonies of shared beauty and lasting environmental commitment.
The Sacred Trees candles by Baobab Collection are, therefore, the expression of responsible luxury: fragrances that enchant, design that moves, and actions that transform.
