In 2020, Hermès inaugurated its beauty line with Rouge Hermès, a collection dedicated to the elegance of lips. Now, in 2025, it presents Rouge Brillant Silky, a new makeup proposal: light, radiant, and refillable, available in 14 permanent shades.
“Rouge Brillant Silky is a companion, a partner for all occasions. It offers the intimacy of an intuitive, free, and comforting application,” says Gregoris Pyrpylis, Creative Director of Hermès Beauty.
The iconic silhouette of the lipstick, designed by Pierre Hardy, Creative Director of Hermès Beauty objects, now appears in a more elongated and refined format, adding even more sophistication to the collection. The emblematic materials of Rouge Hermès: lacquered, brushed, and polished metal in shades of black, white, or permabrass, are enhanced in this new line, where the maison’s ex-libris remains delicately engraved on the lid as a timeless signature.
In this second chapter of the Rouge Hermès saga, colour gains a new dimension: a subtle veil of modulable intensity. The fourteen luminous shades create a halo of delicate yet vibrant colour. Among them, five iconic tones: Rouge Casaque, Rouge H, Rouge Amazone, Rose Boisé, and Rose Épicé, are reinterpreted with a resplendent finish.
“The texture is both light and enveloping. It is a lipstick that caresses, that can be applied without a mirror, from morning to night,” declares Gregoris Pyrpylis.
With a hybrid formula, Rouge Brillant Silky combines fluidity and comfort, enveloping the lips with a silky and translucent touch. Inspired by silk, a precious material for Hermès, this lipstick reflects the same qualities: lightness, flexibility, and a delicate glow. Just as silk moulds itself to the body, Rouge Brillant Silky blends naturally with the lips.
The olfactory signature of Rouge Hermès, created by Christine Nagel, Creative Director and guardian of Hermès Parfums’ olfactory heritage, is also present in this new creation. The subtle and elegant fragrance combines notes of arnica, sandalwood, and crystallised angelica flower. On the lips, the colour unfolds, the intensity adapts, and the shine gradually reveals itself.

To mark the launch of the fourteen initial shades, Rouge Brillant Silky also presents three new limited-edition tones to celebrate the arrival of spring and summer: Beige Halo, Orange Flash, and Rose Gélatine.
In this new chapter, Pierre Hardy reinterprets the Rouge Brillant Silky lipstick as a perfect fusion of material, metal, and colour. A vibrant dance of light and texture, where each shade reflects the rhythm and energy of summer. A true choreography of shine and colour on the lips.
