Montblanc and Ferrari come together once again to celebrate a legacy of engineering excellence and masterful craftsmanship. The new special edition of the Great Characters collection pays tribute to Enzo Ferrari, an iconic figure in motorsport who revolutionised the industry and created one of the most legendary brands in the world.
Inspired by Giallo Modena, one of Ferrari’s signature colours, the piece features a yellow cap and barrel, evoking Enzo Ferrari’s hometown. The design reflects the aesthetics of the legendary Ferrari 500, the car that secured Scuderia Ferrari’s first Formula 1 World Championship title in 1952.
The details reinforce the connection to the Ferrari universe: the prancing horse logo, a quote from Enzo Ferrari “You cannot describe passion, you can only live it”, and elements referencing the iconic V12 engine. The solid gold nib bears an engraving of a Ferrari 250 GTO steering wheel and the nickname Pilota, while the cap ring pays homage to Officina Meccanica Alfredo Ferrari, founded by Enzo’s father.
To complement the experience, Montblanc is also launching a Giallo Modena notebook featuring a sketch of the V12 engine and a purple ink inspired by Enzo Ferrari’s personal preference. With this release, the maison reaffirms its commitment to immortalising the stories of great visionaries.
