The British brand has renewed its range, highlighting the Ghost Series II and its Black Badge version. Updates to the entry-level model include the introduction of new materials, enhanced connectivity, redesigned LED headlights, and an illuminated grille.
Rolls-Royce has revealed the refresh of its luxury vehicle lineup, placing special emphasis on the Ghost and its Black Badge version, both now in their second generation, with technological and design improvements. This update is part of a broader strategy that also includes the new Phantom Series II, the Cullinan and Black Badge Cullinan, as well as the debut of the Spectre, the brand’s first fully electric vehicle.
Since its launch in 2009, the Ghost has played a crucial role in transforming Rolls-Royce, attracting a younger audience and lowering the average age of its customers from 50 in 2010 to the current 43. This model offers a more driver-focused luxury experience, contrasting with the more traditional stance of the Phantom.
The Ghost updates its exterior design with the new illuminated Pantheon grille and redesigned headlights. Inside, the glass dashboard with Central Display, the Spirit of Ecstasy clock, and the illuminated fascia stand out. Technologically, the SPIRIT system, integrated with the Whispers app, enhances on-board connectivity and entertainment.
This second generation of the Ghost brings significant innovations in technology and engineering. Equipped with a V12 engine and optimised suspension, it offers an exceptionally smooth drive. The audio system, comprising 18 speakers, provides an immersive acoustic experience with improved sound insulation. Rolls-Royce has also introduced new finishing materials such as grey-tinted Ash wood, Duality Twill bamboo fabric, and a new perforated leather pattern.
The Black Badge Ghost Series II is distinguished by an exterior design with black chrome and darkened lights. The 22-inch forged wheels with seven spokes lend it an imposing presence. The interior maintains its exclusive spirit, featuring technical carbon finishes and darkened metals.
In terms of performance, the Black Badge Ghost offers an additional 29 horsepower compared to the standard version, an adjusted suspension, and an improved braking system for a sportier drive. The low mode allows for quicker gear shifts and a more aggressive exhaust sound.
The Ghost also has a long version, with an additional 170 mm in the second row. The Ghost Extended offers airplane-style reclining seats and an optional mini-bar with two temperature settings (6 and 11 degrees), highlighting the fact that 10% of the vehicle’s final price consists solely of optional features.
