In 2022, Pharrell Williams revealed that his diamond-encrusted Tiffany & Co. glasses were just the beginning of his collaboration with the renowned American jewelry brand. And he kept his word. The multifaceted 51-year-old musician, who has numerous hits and no less than 13 Grammys to his name, and who took on the role of Men’s Creative Director at Louis Vuitton in early 2023, has just launched a new jewelry collection in partnership with Tiffany. Named Tiffany Titan, the innovative line was inspired by Poseidon’s trident in Greek mythology.
For the collaboration with Pharrell Williams, Tiffany & Co. leveraged the support of its parent company, LVMH, to create a line featuring sharp details reminiscent of spears, in a variety of necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and rings that incorporate a certain punk spirit. This same punk spirit is also reflected in the construction of the pieces, challenging conventional design and production methods. Available in 18-karat yellow gold or titanium, each piece in the collection breaks traditional jewelry standards. The pavé designs feature diamonds in an inverted setting, exposing the stone’s pavilion to maximize brilliance.
The use of titanium creates a contrast between its moderately reflective quality and the intention to make a bold statement, setting the designs apart from traditional jewelry. With technical precision in every detail, the pieces were designed to naturally follow the wearer’s movements, demonstrating the maison’s impeccable commitment to the art of craftsmanship.
“I am very inspired by water, and the name of this collection ‘Titan’ is inspired by Poseidon, ruler of the sea, king of Atlantis – and ‘Atlantis’ is also the name of the community where I grew up, in Virginia Beach. The detail in all the jewelry pieces is very intentional, and the use of black titanium is a physical manifestation of the beauty in blackness,” says Pharrell Williams.
Demonstrating Tiffany’s characteristic technical precision, the pieces were designed to move effortlessly. The brand states that the collection aims to attract individuals with a unique mindset and a powerful force that challenges the ordinary.
The Tiffany Titan Collection by Pharrell Williams will be available worldwide at Tiffany & Co. stores and online at Tiffany.com starting in June.
