The Bvlgari Hotel Milano, the first of nine luxurious hotels in the Bvlgari hospitality collection, is celebrating its 20th anniversary. To mark this special occasion, the hotel was reserved exclusively for its most loyal guests, considered its true gems. These guests were treated to two days filled with activities: a wellness experience with the Augustinus Bader brand; a cocktail-making class with the famous bartender Patrick Greco; a wine tasting featuring selections from 2004, in honor of the hotel’s opening year; and an interactive journey through the world of Bvlgari jewelry, with a preview of the Haute Joaillerie and Octo Finissimo collections. The celebrations also included an event in the Aperitivo Garden, a midnight spaghetti banquet with live performances and a DJ, culminating in the traditional Bvlgari brunch the next day, hosted by resident Chef Giorgio Fuda.
In 2001, the first location was chosen in Milan, the former Convent of the Sisters of Cenacolo on Via Privata Fratelli Gabba, which in 2004 was transformed into the first Bvlgari Hotel. This marked the beginning of the Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts project, an attempt to translate the jewelry brand’s values into the hospitality sector, resulting in a new chapter in the industry’s history. Today, the Bvlgari Hotel Milano continues to be a vital meeting point in the city’s social life.
“Twenty years after its inauguration, the Bvlgari Hotel Milano, the first of our nine hospitality gems, remains the city’s living room. An oasis of serenity and relaxation situated between Via Montenapoleone, Via Della Spiga, La Scala, and the Accademia di Brera, where international travelers and, above all, the local clientele like to gather: whether for business or leisure, to savor Niko Romito’s cuisine, or simply for the aperitivo, which is the most iconic moment of Milan’s social scene. And this is precisely what we want to celebrate: the city of Milan, its artistic creativity, and the encounters that occur here,” says Silvio Ursini, Executive Vice President of Bvlgari and Head of the Hotels & Resorts Division.
Milan, known as the city of design, was the perfect location to define Bvlgari’s precise architectural style, thanks to the partnership with ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel. This classic and contemporary style has become recognizable worldwide.
The hotel’s timeless and immersive design has evolved over the years, exemplified by the Bvlgari Suite on the top floor, whose transparent facade creates an open space with a view of the garden. This design concept evokes the style of an “urban villa,” with teak flooring that integrates the interiors with the rooftop garden. The common spaces were designed to create continuity, highlighting the Bvlgari Bar, Il Ristorante Niko Romito, and Il Giardino, providing Milan with a unique convivial space. The gastronomic offerings, led by three-Michelin-starred Chef Niko Romito, reinterpret the great classics of Italian cuisine, both in ingredients and recipes, as well as in presentation and service.
Finally, the recently renovated Bvlgari Spa combines design with traditional rituals from Augustinus Bader and Mauli. Notable features include the gold-leaf-lined pool, five private cabins, and a Spa Suite, as well as the new Hair & Beauty Salon by Roberto D’Antonio, opened this year.
For all these reasons, the first Bvlgari Hotel, now beautifully aged 20 years, continues to be a laboratory of innovation and an example of timeless style in Bvlgari’s global hospitality adventure.
