Every four years, athletes from different sports look forward to the ceremony of the Olympic Games, the most important and commemorative multisport event in the world.
This year, the athletic competition took place against the backdrop of the stunning French capital, synonymous with sophistication, elegance and glamour, with its iconic monuments and rich history. As if that wasn’t enough to make this event memorable, the official sponsor of the ceremony was none other than the largest luxury conglomerate in the world, the LVMH group.
In this way, some luxury brands took advantage of the occasion to launch collections and produce campaigns to celebrate the athletic spirit, inspired by Paris, a center of art, fashion, gastronomy and culture.
Louis Vuitton
As the main brand associated with the LVMH group, Louis Vuitton played a prominent role in some of the ceremony’s notes. Since it has become a tradition for the prize at major sporting events to be conditioned by the brand’s iconic trunk, the Olympic Games were no exception. In this way, the Louis Vuitton Medals Trunks were designed, prepared to carry the coveted medals of the event.
Dior
Maria Grazie Chiuri was inspired by the French color palette of blue, white and red to create Dior’s latest capsule collection, Dior Vibe. This new sportswear line is the perfect combination of the brand’s couture elegance and sportsmanship.
Jacquemus
Known for its creative and unusual advertising campaigns, Jacquemus showed its support for the sporting ceremony by publishing a special campaign, with short videos on its Instagram page, showing an artistic and fun vision of various sporting moments.
Guerlain
To celebrate the French legacy, the iconic Bee Bottle from luxury cosmetics and beauty brand Guerlain is decorated in the festive colors of the French Republic. This limited edition is only available exclusively in boutiques in Paris, the host city of the Olympic Games.
Omega
It is now the 31st time that Omega has served as Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games, and this year its campaign has transformed the most recognizable monuments of the City of Light into a sporting arena with the participation of the world’s greatest athletes, such as Gianmarco Tamberi and Léon Marchand.
