The façade of the emblematic building of the new Lisbon address of the Dior boutique reflects the spirit of traditional Portuguese architecture. The large display windows reveal the interiors in a combination of art and fashion. The different universes of the maison are revealed through refined decoration, enhanced by Dior codes, from Versailles parquet to cannage graphics. The window reveals a careful selection of pieces designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri and a series of men’s pieces designed by Kim Jones.
To celebrate Monsieur Dior’s legacy in all its magic, the rich and luminous ambience recalls another emblematic address: 30 Montaigne, Paris. The elegance of the rooms is made up of light colours, combining boldness and sophistication, accentuated by furniture with touches of white, ivory and blue. These spaces display the works of important names on the national art scene, such as Valéria Nascimento, Bruno Ollé and Pedro Calapez. Among these works, Joana Vasconcelos‘ suspended sculpture along the entire length of the twenty-metre-high staircase stands out. An opportunity to continue the passionate dialogue between Maria Grazia Chiuri and the Portuguese artist during Dior’s Ready-to-Wear Autumn-Winter 2023-2024 show. Here, in the new boutique on Avenida da Liberdade, and until June 3rd, visitors will be able to admire various animals, in a play of different proportions, created by Joana Vasconcelos, including a lizard, a snail and a wolf, a unique and timeless experience.
