Frederique Constant has renewed the already acclaimed “Classic” with three variations in steel and a new Manufacture movement.
With a technical approach and an aesthetic different from previous versions, Frederique Constant’s Classic Date Manufacture is equipped with the FC-706 caliber, a state-of-the-art Manufacture movement that offers 72 hours of power reserve and an extended five-year warranty. The steel case has been reduced by 2 mm, now measuring 40 mm, and features a dial without numerals, with refined hour markers. The railway-style minute track traverses the dial with a silver, black, or salmon sunburst effect.
Regarding the bridges, they have acquired a new finish and have been completely redesigned to accommodate the new high-capacity barrel. It also includes circular grains and decorations in a fan-shaped côtes de Genève style.
The hour markers are applied diamond-cut, polished, and slightly reduced at 5 and 7 o’clock to allow ventilation of the date indication. The hands, also diamond-cut and hand-polished, are now of the “Alpha” type, in harmony with the profile of the hour markers. Their precision is confirmed by a new railway-style minute track.
The first version comes with a chocolate crocodile leather strap, with a salmon-colored dial, combined with a steel case and silver hour markers and hands. To increase visibility, the date and minute indications are in black.
The second model features a silver sunburst dial and a navy crocodile leather strap, combined with the same system as the first version.
The third version is more contemporary, with a steel case, silver hands and markers on a black sunburst dial, and a crocodile leather strap, also in black.
