The Danish company Bang & Olufsen, nearing its 100th year of existence, experienced in the design and production of high-quality sound systems, introduces the Beolab 8 speakers, elegant and compact, as versatile as desired, capable of fitting into any space, in any position, always captivating when observed from all angles.
The artisanal rigor of Bang & Olufsen’s Factory 5
The one-piece aluminum body of the Beolab 8 is a combination of sphere and cylinder cast into a solid form, reflecting the craftsmanship excellence of Bang & Olufsen’s Factory 5. Available with Danish-manufactured wood slats or a fabric front, the Beolab 8 follows the same distinctive design concept as Bang & Olufsen’s Beolab and Beosound products, including the Beosound Theatre, Beolab 28, and Beolab 50.
Between the outer aluminum casing and the inner core of this speaker column, the interplay of light and shadow creates a visually light appearance. Following the principles of Scandinavian design, where form follows function, the silhouette proves to be aesthetically pleasing and refines its acoustics. The glass interface on the top creates a perfect curve that effortlessly guides the user’s finger across the surface. Each of the four support options is slim and sculptural, utilizing the brand’s expertise in aluminum manufacturing.
A cinematic experience
Whether it’s for a home sound system or a single sound point, the Beolab 8 can be used as a speaker system to create an immersive home cinema setup, using the latest top-of-the-line Bang & Olufsen speakers—or even the older ones from 1984. Pairing two Beolab 8 speakers in stereo is an option if the goal is to achieve powerful and precise sound and, thereby, a high-fidelity musical experience. The Beolab 8 also functions as a standalone speaker for a highly deep sound result, with intense bass.
“Our goal is to create powerful and immersive listening experiences for our customers. The Beolab 8 provides exactly that. It’s a speaker that represents flexibility, performance, and innovation,” said Michael Henriksson, Vice President of Product Marketing at Bang & Olufsen.
Design that stands the test of time
Designed to withstand the test of time, this piece is crafted using quality materials that age beautifully, playing with continuous customization options and ease of upgrade over time, in addition to the replaceable transmitter module, among other factors, ensuring its adaptation to the latest technological standards. The Beolab 8 is available in a range of customizable colors, including: silver/natural aluminum, gold, or anthracite black; you can also match it with speaker covers in oak, light oak, dark oak, or fabric.
