During this month of February, known as the most romance-friendly period, Eleven is introducing a “Dessert Bar Pop-Up” called “Amália”, providing a unique experience of sharing the restaurant’s classic desserts, along with creations specially crafted for the occasion.
In addition to the delicacies designed by Joachim and Ontia Koerper, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy cheese and wine to accompany their desserts, offering the perfect pairing for this original gastronomic experience.
Among the desserts available are “My interpretation of Pastel de Nata and Café”, “Cocoa Variations” and “Baba au Rhum with pineapple from the Azores”. At the end of the menu, miniatures of sweets from the “Chocolate House”, a symbol of Eleven, will be served, accompanied by Earl Gray tea, Amália’s preference, or coffee.
Dessert Bar’s name is a tribute to the renowned Portuguese Fado diva, who lent her name to the place where Eleven is located, Jardim Amália Rodrigues. In the year in which we celebrate 25 years since her departure, the restaurant wishes to celebrate not only her greatness, but also the fado singer’s passion for sweets and cheeses. It is worth mentioning that Amália’s first job was as a pastry chef in a cake and sweets factory, a curiosity that inspired Eleven to create the “Dessert Bar”.
This special menu will be available throughout the month of February, from Monday to Saturday, from 7pm to 10:30pm. It may include two or three desserts, including an equal number of wines to be paired.
