Vista Alegre chose the Maison&Objet and Ambiente events to unveil its collection celebrating the brand’s 200th anniversary. This remarkable longevity will be duly celebrated throughout the year, extending until 2025. In addition to the various initiatives planned to mark this exemplary history, Vista Alegre will launch a series of pieces honouring its memory, establishing a link between the brand’s past, present and future. Present at two of the most important international fairs, Maison&Objet in Paris and Ambiente in Frankfurt, Vista Alegre chose these moments to present the 200th anniversary pieces for the first time. Maison&Objet took place from 18 to 22 January in Paris, with Vista Alegre featuring prominently in Hall 7, while Ambiente in Frankfurt is scheduled to take place from 26 to 30 January, with Vista Alegre in Hall 12.1.
One of the most notable pieces is the “refresher” The Disciples of Rosseau, decorated by Vista Alegre’s painting and manufacturing department, highlighting the hand-painting carried out by various manufacturing artists. Another remarkable piece that transcends time is the Ronlet Fruit Bowl, a replica of which is in the Vista Alegre Museum and came to life during the 200th anniversary celebrations. In the Crystal and Glass category, the 1824 bottle impresses with elements alluding to the brand’s history. The Heritage tableware, which emphasizes hand painting, and the 200 Years service, which takes us on a journey through the evolution of the Vista Alegre logo, are equally remarkable. The guest artists include Nicolas de Crécy with the Brigue Trocador tray, Cyril Pedrosa with Os Trabalhadores, Lorenzo Mattotti with Nell’Acqua and OS GÉMEOS with A Ilha do Pôrdo-Sol.
For its part, Bordallo Pinheiro, which is part of the VA Group, was also present at Maison&Objet from 18 to 22 January with its latest creations. Bordallo Pinheiro will also be exhibiting at the Ambiente fair in Frankfurt.
The two big novelties presented at these events are the new Carmen collection of glasses and Gudrun, the latest table collection by Claudia Schiffer.
Carmen brings us the lightness and joy of sunny days, which can be whenever we want, as long as we have a Carmen glass in our hand! Gudrun, a tribute to Claudia Schiffer’s mother, breathes the fresh air of the countryside, the stubble of leaves and all the warm autumn tones that the fields are painted with. Pieces inspired and designed with the help of Mother Nature, continuing the naturalistic work of the master Raphael, show the detail of the workmanship and precision in interpreting the natural world.
In addition to these novelties, visitors will also be able to appreciate collections such as The Meaning, Jar with Lobsters, Tropical Fruits, Flora, a vast collection of Sardines, Cabbage, Cabbage with Lobster, and Panel Plate, among others.
