Located in the Farol Hotel, very close to the Marina, The Mix has one of the best and most seductive terraces in Cascais, overlooking the sea and the Santa Marta lighthouse. And a new year means a new menu.
The Mix’s new suggestions began to be implemented on 19 January. Also from that date, on Saturdays, between 9pm and 11pm, there will be live music sessions and a special promotion at the cocktail bar.
In 2024, The Mix, the restaurant par excellence of the five-star Farol Hotel, invites you to savour new gastronomic experiences with original fine dining ingredients. So, in terms of couverts, look out for the crunchy Tapioca with sweet chilli sauce or the Oyster au naturel or with shallot vinaigrette. The starters include smoked eel, organic tomato, tarragon and strawberry vinaigrette and candied sea lettuce, sea bass tartare, orange blossom consommé, sweet potato and spiced almonds or artichoke and prawn à brás, piquinho peppers and herb olive oil. For main courses, the choice is between grilled prawns with green curry sauce, grilled turbot with meunière sauce for fish, or roast loin tournedos, Pata Negra ham and quail’s egg and grilled entrecôte with green pepper sauce and cognac for meat.
In terms of pasta and rice, the options are Cascais octopus rice or Fideuà tostada with prawns and bivalves. To finish, the most original are Paris brest with coconut and pineapple or Madagascar chocolate, yuzu and sesame ice cream. There’s much more to discover and try in this new menu at The Mix, for which chef Sebastian Fritye is to blame. Here’s a suggestion.
