The Swiss Manufacture presents the Aquanaut Luce, a first-minute repeater watch from the contemporary sporty Aquanaut collection, available in two high jewelry versions in rose gold with a rainbow of multicolored sapphires and diamonds. Additionally, Patek Philippe continues to innovate in women’s lines, such as the Nautilus, with new models and complications, blending sporty elegance with high jewelry. The Nautilus High Jewelry line includes three new models in snow settings combining diamonds with blue sapphires, rubies, or emeralds. This fall bouquet is completed with two new women’s Nautilus dresses in rose gold and violet.
Patek Philippe has excelled in the field of sporty elegance by creating two watches that have become cult objects: the Nautilus (1976) and the Aquanaut (1997). These watchmaking icons have been developed into two lines with specifically feminine refinements: the Aquanaut Luce (2004) and the Nautilus for ladies (relaunched in 2009), which have since been offered in numerous versions, including high jewelry models with various types of settings. Since 2021, these two women’s lines have seen great success. For example, the Aquanaut Luce welcomed its first three models with complications, and the ladies’ Nautilus is now offered in new versions adorned with pave-set diamonds. The momentum continues today with seven new models in which Patek Philippe reinterprets sporty elegance, combining it in an original way with two of its exceptional areas of expertise: the realm of grand complications and the refinement of high jewelry.
Two models with Aquanaut Luce “Rainbow” High Jewelry minute repeater
Following the Travel Time with dual time zone in 2021, the automatic flyback chronograph in 2022, and the patented annual calendar in spring 2023, Patek Philippe continues to expand its Aquanaut Luce line for women and presents the first grand complication: a minute repeater model, the epitome of craftsmanship.
The new Aquanaut minute repeater has the look of high jewelry “Rainbow” reference 5260/355R-001, an unprecedented blend of high watchmaking, contemporary sport chic style, and high jewelry, in rose gold. It is set with 52 multicolored baguette sapphires (3.19 ct), 112 baguette diamonds (7.31 ct), and 160 brilliant-cut diamonds (0.72 ct). The original octagonal shape of the bezel is enhanced by a double row of baguette-cut gemstones with “invisible setting,” with an outer row of diamonds and an outer row of multicolored sapphires in rainbow colors.
The dial subtly plays with the shape of the gemstones and their setting type, with the center adorned with a pavé of baguette diamonds in “invisible setting,” an hour ring with brilliant-cut diamonds in “snow setting,” and 12 multicolored baguette sapphire indices that occupy the gradient of the bezel. The architecture and meticulous finish of the automatic caliber R 27 can be seen through the transparent sapphire crystal caseback.
Available exclusively in Patek Philippe boutiques in Geneva, Paris, and London during the initial launch phase, the new Aquanaut Luce “Rainbow” High Jewelry minute repeater reference 5260/1455R-001 is entirely set with 130 baguette diamonds (8.66 ct) on the dial and outer row of the bezel and 779 multicolored baguette sapphires (45.05 ct) on the inner row of the bezel, sides of the case, minute repeater lock, and rose gold bracelet. To enhance this precious ensemble, Patek Philippe uses the sophisticated “invisible setting” technique on the center of the dial, bezel, and sides of the case, as well as on the central links and sides of the bracelet.
The dial stands out for its excellent readability, with twelve multicolored baguette sapphire indices, a circle of brilliant-cut diamond hours, an hour hand set with three baguette rubies, a minute hand illuminated by five baguette blue sapphires, and the hands’ body aperture.
Three new precious watches with “snow setting,” combining diamonds and blue sapphires, rubies, or emeralds – Nautilus High Jewelry References
Patek Philippe expands its jewelry watch line with three new Nautilus High Jewelry watches in white gold combining 1,500 diamonds (6.53 ct) with 876 blue sapphires (6.58 ct, reference 7118/1451G-001), rubies (6.58 ct, reference 7118/1452G-001), or emeralds in brilliant cut (3.68 ct, reference 7118/1453G-001). The bezel highlighted by colored stones enhances the unmistakable design of the Nautilus. The alternating use of diamonds on the outer links and colored stones on the inner links emphasizes the original construction of the bracelet.
The virtuous “snow setting” technique has been used on the case, bezel, and bracelet, with the craftsman freely playing with stones of various diameters so that the minimum amount of gold surface between the gems is visible. A combination of creativity and mastery that transforms each watch into a unique work of art.
The white gold dial stands out for its rows of brilliant-cut diamonds, reproducing the small wave motif characteristic of the Nautilus women’s collection. Legibility is ensured by pointed white gold indices set with 12 blue sapphires, rubies, or emeralds, anthracite alpha hour/minute hands in white gold with luminescent white coating, and a central seconds hand in anthracite.
As with all Manufacture watches, the setting meets the strict requirements of the Patek Philippe Seal, with Top Wesselton Pur diamonds, the finest color, impeccable stone cutting, and a fixing method that ensures excellent grip and smooth surfaces when touched.
The 35.2 mm diameter white gold case houses the automatic caliber 26-330 S, with a central rotor in 21-karat gold and refined finishes visible through a transparent sapphire caseback.
The new Nautilus and Aquanaut present models for all tastes and desires of fans of feminine sporty chic style.
