Dior opens a unique boutique in the heart of Lisbon, on Avenida da Liberdade, the epicenter of fashion and luxury, where French elegance harmoniously blends with Portuguese art. The facade of the new Maison’s address, located in a landmark building, reflects the spirit of traditional Portuguese architecture. With over a thousand square meters spread across three floors, in a building renovated by architect Souto de Moura, artist Joana Vasconcelos signs the two works exhibited on the ground floor: a colorful tile panel and a Valkyrie suspended along the entire length of the spiral staircase, twenty meters high. Specially designed for the Fall-Winter 2023/24 Dior fashion show, this piece, smaller in size, perfectly fits the space. Portuguese elements continue to be prominently featured, with elegant corners complemented by works from Valéria Nascimento, Bruno Ollé, and Pedro Calapez.
In homage to the tradition left by Monsieur Dior, the luminous atmosphere evokes the iconic number 30 of Avenue Montaigne. An elegance immersed in soft tones, blending boldness and refinement, enhanced by furniture with touches of white, ivory, and blue. The distinct worlds of the Maison are unveiled through exquisite decoration, highlighted by Dior codes, from the Versailles parquet to the graphic patterns of cannage.
On the first and second floors, the Dior Cruise 2024 collection designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri is revealed. Irresistible looks and accessories incorporate seasonal patterns, such as the Butterfly Around the World print. In an almost musical poetry, various butterflies unfold their wings in a series of delicate creations, from long skirts and enveloping knits to silk twill shirts, as seen in Lady D-Lite and Panier Chapeau. This immersive experience takes us into the current universe of the Maison. The dreamlike showcase also highlights the Dior Spring 2024 men’s line, conceived by Kim Jones, bringing together a selection of pieces rich in London cool style, echoing the Buffalo movement of Ray Petri.
The new boutique is housed in a historic 19th-century building, unveiling a dreamlike setting at the renovated number 85 on Avenida da Liberdade in Lisbon.
