Passionate about her work, she nurtures a deep love for the art of decorating from an early age, a love that has been reflected in every festive decoration project, where the theme of Christmas has been predominant.
She started by decorating themed parties in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), her home country, including Halloween and New Year’s parties, sometimes in large clubs, as well as window dressing and interior decoration projects. “I always had a manual ability,” she tells us. “From a very young age, still a child, I dedicated myself to sewing doll clothes, sculpting pieces, and making my own Carnival costumes.” At just 16 years old, still living in Rio de Janeiro, the city where she was born, Cláudia Perdigão was already decorating spaces like the Costa Brava Clube, a social landmark of the city and a charming outdoor space overlooking the sea. Her natural ability gradually began to capture attention, and Cláudia was requested to use her creativity, especially in executing displays, scenarios, at private parties, and New Year’s events. Success was on the horizon for this curious and attentive “carioca” with a special gift.
Driven by family reasons, when she arrived in Portugal to live, almost 37 years ago, Cláudia Perdigão continued her creative journey and opened her own business based on individual handmade production games, fabric napkin rings, and decorated baskets. A few years later, she founded her Christmas decoration company for the shopping center market, named “Agência da Casa,” a successful brand that has been around for 31 years. “With it, I was a pioneer in the Portuguese market with thematic, innovative, and unusual decorations, and these began to captivate customers and attract more and more attention and business volume.” Over time, after conquering Portugal—and even some shopping centers in neighboring Spain—Cláudia decided to reduce the frequency of Christmas projects (this was in 2018) and venture again into event and festive decorations, “to have a better distribution of my work throughout the whole year.” Today, she confesses, she is deeply “fulfilled and complete as a creative and designer; I love working with creativity, I love challenges, and, above all, realizing differentiated projects with my identity and signature.”
Christmas, however, was not forgotten: “I usually say that I want to leave Christmas, but Christmas doesn’t leave me.” Passionate about nativity scenes, Cláudia has developed her own way of creating them over the past 25 years. One of the best examples is the iconic Amoreiras Nativity Scene, which receives thousands of visitors every year, along with many compliments. “There’s no way I can’t feel proud!”
For the year-end lunch of the F Club, designed and organized by F Luxury magazine, Cláudia bet “on an elegant and non-traditional decoration.” The event had the highlight of the 2024 color of the year, Apricot Crush. “The decoration of this special party evoked soft shades of orange, reminiscent of the succulent pulp of ripe apricots. It’s a perfect choice for Christmas decoration, as it symbolizes energy, warmth, and optimism,” she explains. And every detail, carefully planned, aimed to create a unique and enchanting experience. “After all, it was the year-end meeting of the F Club.”
For this talented creative, the idea was based on a premise: that the environment would act as a reminder, a colorful reminder that our spirit of celebration, whatever happens, is always present.
When asked about her life motto, Cláudia Perdigão does not hesitate: Work and focus. “Being fulfilled in my artistic career, convinced that creativity is the expression of the soul, that each project reflects my passion in transforming spaces into memorable and inspiring experiences.”
A dream to fulfill? “Dreams are infinite for me. As we create, realize, and develop projects, new dreams emerge constantly. Life becomes a journey full of joy, and the essential thing is to embrace it in a full and positive way.”
