Echoing its notable contribution known as The Gold Rose, developed to celebrate Francis Kurkdjian’s new perfume, L’Or de J’adore, Jean-Michel Othoniel conceived the Perles collection for the Dior Maison line, consisting of plates and platters.
This collection is adorned with designs reminiscent of the golden bronze sculpture created by this French artist, an intimate creation conceived as a corolla of enveloping petals, with the L’Or de J’adore bottle at the center.
In his sketches, a multitude of pearls intertwine to form the delicate curves of an airy rose. Such dynamic motifs punctuate a set of essential pieces, including a presentation plate subtly embellished with a 24-karat gold rim, as well as dinner plates, dessert plates, and bread plates. The symbolism of gold, an iconic code of Dior, highlights here more than ever the timeless audacity and inventiveness of the maison.
This exclusive home line pays homage to the excellence of contemporary art and the beauty of the plant kingdom, especially dedicated to the pleasure of hosting, something highly valued by the brand’s founding couturier.
