Set to launch in January 2024, Etro’s new eyewear collection, in collaboration with Safilo, epitomizes Italian savoir-faire and cutting-edge design.
The ready-to-wear collection for Spring/Summer ’24, curated by Marco De Vincenzo, the Creative Director of the Italian brand, made its debut during the runway show and is aptly named Nowhere “because fashion is a non-place, where anything can happen”.
Floral patterns and embroideries, alongside the revival of the classic Paisley motif, complement Etromacaron’s maxi models, distinguished by unique details such as the iconic Pegasus, symbolizing freedom, energy, and creativity, capturing the allure of ancient myth in a contemporary style. This signature detail is revealed in a bold round feature on the temples: the element conceals an integrated hinge, engineered without metal parts, as an innovative technical solution that marries maximum functionality with perfect aesthetics. The mask-shaped model boasts a square form with a flat injected resin upper frame, featuring a semi-rimless construction accentuated by bold volumes on the lower and side portions. This model, personalized with Etro’s logo on both lenses and iconic temple tips, is available in various iconic Etro monochromatic looks: burgundy with burgundy lenses, black with brown lenses, nude with nude silver flash lenses, ocher/ivory/burgundy with bordeaux lenses.
Etro’s new eyewear collection, designed, produced, and distributed in partnership with Safilo, will see an initial release of selected models starting from November 2023 in Etro boutiques and select optical stores.
