Evelyn Lauder made a difference by bringing together people and organizations worldwide to promote change. In 1993, she founded the Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF), the Campaign’s primary nonprofit partner, dedicated to the most promising research in the world to eradicate breast cancer.
As Estée Lauder Companies’ largest corporate social impact program, the Breast Cancer Campaign is a cornerstone of the company’s social investments in women’s advancement and health. It continues to inspire goal-oriented actions and stands as a testament to Evelyn’s legacy. Breast cancer mortality rates have decreased by 43% among women since the late 1980s due to early detection and improved treatment.
