Thus, Francis Kurkdjian chose to go to the core of J’Adore’s floral bouquet, the essence of its incredibly complex formula, and from there designed a minimalist silhouette, organic sensuality, and an unprecedented level of concentration.
The French perfumer and entrepreneur of Armenian descent brings a new perspective to J’Adore, seeking its purest essence. Challenging the floral balance that gives rise to a majestic and abstract floral impression, the new J’Adore is a bath of molten gold that reflects its origins and immerses itself in sensuality and adoration.
With the concept defined, the new fragrance took shape. Francis Kurkdjian approached the floral bouquet in two steps: first refining the formula, then celebrating the flowers. He simplified one to elevate the other. The bouquet emerges renewed, updated, carried by flowers elevated to their maximum. Jasmine and rose are extrapolated, and lily of the valley and violet shine.
“Christian Dior used to say that his models represented all the women in the world. Thanks to the intact magic and power of J’Adore, I dared to imagine that I, in turn, was taking possession of all the flowers in the world – with all the audacity, extravagance, and rigor that are the signature of the Dior Spirit,” expresses Francis Kurkdjian. He adds, “I wanted to give the floral signature of J’Adore simpler, more contemporary, and universal details. Like casting a new light on J’Adore, which is an impressionist masterpiece, composed of a set of kaleidoscopic touches. The formula now seems sturdier. In a way, I exaggerated the floral outlines to make their nuances more prominent and thus define a new texture, similar to fluid and enveloping gold. A new sensuality, immediately appealing. The quintessence of J’Adore is present. L’Or de J’Adore returns to the essential, celebrating the beauty of flowers carried in a soft and solar concentrate. In L’Or de J’Adore, the iconic bottle is reinvented and adorned with precious materials. Designed to last, its cap made of noble materials becomes a true talisman that can be kept over time to house new “drops of perfume.” Exclusively dedicated to the concentration of perfume, the minimalist glass bottle of L’Or de J’Adore will be available for refill starting from March 2024.
