Repossi marks its presence in Portugal for the first time by the hands of David Rosas. Belonging to the LVMH group’s brand portfolio, this jewelry house has perpetuated the family’s creative heritage for three generations, since the opening of its first boutique in Turin in 1957.
After studying industrial design and having developed a taste for art deco style, Costantino Repossi decided to open his first store. The brand’s history continued when his son Alberto gave Repossi an international dimension after opening a boutique in Monte Carlo in the late 1970s, becoming the official jeweler of the Monegasque crown.
From the glamour of the 1980s to the elegance of the Parisian avant-garde, where the maison set up shop in 1986 on Place Vendôme, Repossi anchored itself in its time and renewed itself, constantly regenerating the collections.
Regenerated by the vision of Gaia Repossi, Artistic Director since 2007, Repossi reinvents the codes of traditional jewelry, blending primitive jewelry and modern art and architecture to create bold pieces intended to be worn as a precious second skin or as “art-à-porter”. Particularly recognizable today, its iconic collections play with systems, subtle paradoxes such as full and empty, like the Serti sur Vide, recognizable by its floating diamonds, the Antifer, with its peaks and sharp angles, or the Berbère, a repetition of minimalist lines.
Timeless creations with boldly ostentatious architectural lines, they push the boundaries of traditional techniques and position Repossi as the most avant-garde jewelry house on Place Vendôme. And today, the Maison marks its presence on Portuguese soil by the hand of David Rosas. A three generation brand is now represented by the fifth generation of a family that also has shares a great tradition of jewelry.
