Held from March 27 to April 2 in Geneva, Switzerland, the annual Watches and Wonders fair presented the most anticipated timepieces from some of the industry’s most prominent names. Over the course of a week, Rolex, Patek Philippe, and other major brands came together to showcase their new additions.
Cartier, Santos-Dumont Skeleton
This new watch was presented in three variations: stainless steel, rose gold, and yellow gold with navy blue lacquer. In the latter (pictured), limited to only 150 pieces, the case, the bezel, and the bridges are hand lacquered.

Jaeger-LeCoultre, Reverso Tribute Chronograph
The front dial, bearing the basic features of the Reverso Tribute line, indicates only the hours and minutes on a soleil background; a flip of the case exposes the chronograph on a skeletonized dial that shows the new Caliber 860, able to unite two distinct functions contemplated on two different dials.

Hublot, Big-Bang-Integrated-Tourbillon-Full-Carbon
The herringbone weave pattern of the Texalium material of this watch provides increased impact resistance. While this dynamic new material covers the upper planes of the case, the bezel and each link of the fully integrated bracelet, the sides of these elements are left in traditional black carbon.

Chopard, L.U.C 1963 Heritage Chronograph
With a 42 mm diameter case, this new flyback chronograph is crafted from Chopard’s proprietary Lucent Steel, a material made from 80% recycled materials that differ from standard 316L stainless steel.

Franck Muller, Curvex CX Giga Tourbillon
Housed for the first time in a Curvex CX, the iconic Giga Tourbillon has been completely redesigned, with its 20 mm tourbillon taking up half of the skeleton dial.

IWC, Ingenieur Automatic 40
Introducing the newest addition to the Ingenieur collection, this watch features some modern design elements, including a black dial with horizontal and vertical checkered lines, to create a textured 3D effect.

Piaget, Polo Perpetual Calendar Ultra-thin
The iconic Piaget Polo collection now welcomes for the first time a mechanical perpetual calendar watch. Made of stainless steel with alternating satin and polished surfaces, the new 42 mm watch at just 8.65 mm thick features a state-of-the-art ultra-thin automatic movement.

Rolex, Cosmograph Daytona
Just in time for its 60th anniversary, this iconic chronograph features the new Caliber 4131, an evolution of the 4130 that debuted in 2000. The brand also introduced some subtle updates: the chromalight luminescent indices are now thinner and the case features a display background.

Vacheron Constantin, Patrimony Retrograde
With its original combination of retrograde complications evoking the iconoclastic displays of the 1920s and 1930s, the new Patrimony Retrograde day-date in 950 platinum framing a salmon-colored dial perpetuates a refined style.
